[Chodosh] Final Edition of Chodosh Guide?

Dear Chodosh Subscriber,

Since our father’s z”l petira, we have struggled to continue his legacy of
Project Chodosh. We have received encouragement from our broad range of
subscribers, which has given our family much chizuk. Through much effort,
and after extensive discussions with multiple hechsheirim and Rabonim, we
came up with a viable system to enable us to continue the Project. We hired
a full-time employee and ran several fundraisers. Many of you responded
generously; however, the amount raised fell very short of our projected
annual budget.

Upon consultation with daas Torah, we were advised not to accept the burden
of perpetual fundraising. Thus, our current goal is to continue gathering
information in order to produce the Guide this year, despite the fact that
we don’t even have enough funds to cover the next few months (contributions
are still being accepted, https://secure.cardknox.com/chodoshproject ).
Subsequently, the Herman family will terminate involvement in Project
Chodosh. We sincerely hope that the kashrus organizations will step up to
the role of gathering and dissemination of Chodosh information.
