Paid help needed by the Guide to Chodosh

HELP WANTED FOR THE CHODOSH PROJECT



Help is wanted by the Chodosh project. This is a temporary, paid position 
for the period June-Oct. 05. The work can be done, for example, by a 
housewife working at home at her own schedule. The pay is $16 per hour with 
all associated expenses paid.



The person who has been in charge of maintaining the mailing list for the 
Guide to Chodosh will not be able to do it this year in the peak load 
period of June-Oct 05. Therefore, we are looking for a temporary 
replacement. The replacement should, as a first choice, be located in or 
near Flatbush. The second choice would be elsewhere in the Metropolitan New 
York area, including Monsey or Lakewood. Ideally, they should own a 
computer and have an active email account. If these are not available, we 
can supply the computer and email arrangements. (Access to the Internet is 
NOT required. The option is there to communicate without the use of the 
Internet, via the Chodosh BBS.) However, some working familiarity with the 
use of computers is required. This would include the use of the Microsoft 
Windows operating system and some limited experience with Microsoft Word.



The pay of $16 per hour is on the books, with 15% being deducted for 
federal taxes. That would leave the total take home pay of $13.60 per hour. 
The expected work load would be an average of 15-20 hours per week during 
the peak summer period. The duties would include:


    * Opening a post office mailbox near your home to receive all mailed 
subscription requests for the Guide. Visiting the post office about 2-3 
times per week to pick up the latest mail. Those who go a bungalow colony 
for the summer should be able to continue this work from there.
    * Use Word to update the existing mailing list as the subscriptions 
come in. We expect about 1600 to 2000 subscriptions, new and renewals.
    * Sending confirmation post cards for each received subscription.
    * Prepare received checks for deposit to the bank.
